A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
María is Uruguayan and lives in Montevideo. She has a degree in Biological Sciences. She studied art at the National School of Fine Arts. She attended José María Pelayo's sculpture workshop between 1993 and 1996. She studied nude drawing with Rogelio Osorio and took a photography course at the TRIS academy. She studied painting at the Clever Lara workshop and sculpture with Mariví Ugolino.
From 2008 to 2011 he took a sculpture course at José María Pelayo's workshop and, in June 2011, he attended a float glass kilncasting seminar given by Karina Del Savio in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In September 2012 she took an intensive glass sculpture casting course with Silvia Levenson in Meina, Italy. In July 2013 she attended a course in Buenos Aires on glass image transfer by Silvia Levenson and Karina Del Savio.
Her works are present in private collections in Miami, Washington, Marbella, Chicago, New York, Oslo, Montevideo, Punta del Este and José Ignacio. In June 2016 she again visits the studio of the artist Silvia Levinson in Italy and attends the advanced seminar on transfer of images on glass.
